It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Nell Bailey Motton (Urbana, Illinois), born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Bobbie Nell Bailey may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bobbie Nell Bailey touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Elbert Darden and Olivia Clark Darden; her husband Wardell Motton; and her daughter Mary Bailey. She is survived by: her sister Mary; and her children, Carolyn (Paul), Rickey (Valerie), Micheal, Lendean and Debora (Johnny). She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and, a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Leek & Sons Funeral Home (1215 W Bradley Ave, Urbana, IL 61801). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
