He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin O'Connor and Mary O'Connor (O'Bryan); his wife Doris M. Hewkin; his grandson Stephen B. Oehmke, Jr.; and his siblings, Jessie Lee Valentine, Jimmie O. Fox and Owen Jack OConnor.

He is survived by: his daughter Sharon K. Wallace of Urbana, IL; and his great grandchildren, Stephen B. Shove, Liam Freeman, Max Freeman and Audrey Freeman.
