He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Schluter and Elfrieda Hesterberg Schluter; his son Jason Schluter; and his siblings, Lawrence Schluter and Marie Hoveln.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn VanGeison of Paul's Lutheran Church; his children, Candace Robb (Ricky) of Oklahoma City, Beth Schluter of Oklahoma City, Justin Schluter (Ashleigh) of Oklahoma City, Gayla Matejowsky (Don) of Champaign, Dayna Taylor of Lexington and Annette Flood of Urbana; and his siblings, Evelyn Miller (Larry) of St. Joseph and Marvin Schluter of Gifford. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gifford or Kopmann Cemetery.
