It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Woodson of Unity, Illinois, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Woodson and Lorene Woodson; her sister Victoria Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Roy Smith and Laura Woodson.
She is survived by: her sons, Wendell Woodson of St. Louis, Riki Woodson of Cape Girardeau and Fanelle Woodson of Unity; her grandchildren, Fanelle Woodson, Jr., Cassius Woodson, Aerial Woodson, Jasher Coleman, Iris Coleman, Keziah Woodson, Xavier Edmonds, Tyra Huff, Mila Woodson, Ziare Woodson, Tanaya Woodson and Kamiyah Woodson; her siblings, James Woodson of Licking Missouri, Thomas Woodson (Zena) of Benton Harbor, Larry Woodson (Gloria) of Jacksonville, Robert Woodson of Unity, William Harris of Charleston, Verlene Cross (Robert) of Tamms, Vivian Woodson of Carbondale and Natalie Woodson of Unity, Illinois.; her uncle Jerry Long; her close friends, Laura Meeks, Barbara Jones and Dessie Bobo; and also Joe Woodson (Chequita) of Unity. She is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
