It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Skuta of Tuscola, Illinois, born in West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, George, Charles, John, Irene Morthland, Emma Pelker, Dorothy Baldi and Sue Ann Clifford.
He is survived by: his son Gregory Louis (Anne) of Edmond, Oklahoma; his family Jackie; his daughter LaShon (Ruth Wiese) of Richmond, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jon of Yukon, Oklahoma, Catherine "Cate" Wright (Justan) of Jones, Oklahoma and Matt of Redondo Beach, California; his great grandchildren, Adelyn and Everett Wright; and his sister Charlotte Chapman Niehaus of Carbondale, Illinois. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Eagle Mountain Assembly of God (401 E Sale St, Tuscola, IL 61953).
