He was predeceased by: his father James Stanley Knight Jr.; his sister Amy Beth; and his grandparents, Orin Ruby, Esther Ruby, Stan Knight and Dorothy Knight.

He is survived by: his mother Mary Ruth Ruby Knight of Tuscola, IL.; his wife Joanna Nichole Alexander (Nikki) of Tuscola, IL.; his son James (Ashley); his grandchildren, Brooklyne, Levi and Harrison; his brothers, Jerry (Shelley) and Jon of Tuscola; his parents-in-law, Sandi, Denny Cruzan of Tuscola and Gary Alexander of Villa Grove; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Alexander (Kristi), Danielle Cruzan (Tuscola), Frank Alexander (Holli) and Rod Alexander (Tiffany).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tuscola First Christian Church (100 Church St, Tuscola, IL 61953). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
