He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Hatchel and Pearle Bridges Hatchel; and his siblings, Myron, Jack, Harvey, George, Everett Hatchel, Ruth Bates and Doris Schull.
He is survived by: his children, Libby Stephens (Joshua) of Champaign and Dustin Hatchel of Tuscola; his sisters, Florence Laughlin of Atwood and Minnie Vandeventer of Camargo; and his grandson Brayden Hatchel.
