She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Houk and Mary Green Houk; her grandson Michael Surma; and her siblings, Harlan Houk, Evelyn Ellis, Louise Woods, Ruth Peavler and Leone Dannison.
She is survived by: her husband William Surma of Tuscola; her children, Jon Surma and Andrea Englehardt; and her grandchildren, Adrienne Ferrell (Michael), Jessica Borchers (Bryce), Tyler Surma (Molly), Travis Surma (Codi), Caleb Englehardt (Kelley), Nathan Englehardt (Trisha) and Brett Englehardt (Courtney). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
