He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kleiss and Dorothy Kleiss; his wife Charlotte Kleiss; and his nephew James Afshin Charehsazan. He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Kleiss (Jacki) of Cary, NC, Cliff Kleiss (Soda) of Thailand, Lois Charehsazan (Saivi) and Marilyn Morey of Normal, IL.; his stepchildren, Buck Hausmann and Shari Fleming (Bill); his stepgrandchildren, David Fleming (Cara), Mitchell Fleming (Lesley), Tinita Stam (Paul), Jessie Hausmann, Catie Workman (Harry), Jake Hausmann and Lauren Hausmann; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Carter Fleming, Cooper Fleming, Caroline Fleming, Avery Fleming, Emma Fleming and Thomas Stam; his nieces and nephews, Amir Charehsazan (Jessika), Marc Kleiss (Deanna), Kim Holderfield (Curt), Kristen Sullivan (Neil) and David Kleiss (Jennifer); and his adoptive sons, Brad and Jim Kleiss of Las Vegas.

At Bill's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Children's Ministries.
