She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo John and Nora Elizabeth McAvene (Tackett); her husband Charles C. Connour; her sister Patsy Dowell; her nieces, Kelly Lock and Nancy Daugherty; and her brothers-in-law, Bob Dowell, Lyle Lock and Frank Daugherty.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Linda McAvene Lock of Tuscola; her sister-in-law Helen Daugherty of Mattoon; her stepson Dennis Connour of Urbana; and her nephews, Steve Daugherty (Wanda) of Plainfield, IN, Mike Daugherty (Sue) of Portage, MI, Mark Dowell (Beppe) of Newman, IL and Michael Dowell (Tammy) of McDonough, GA..
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (221 E Main St, Arcola, IL 61910). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglas County Animal Shelter.
