He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifton and Earlene Riley; his brothers, Russell and Melvin Riley; and his siblings-in-law, Al Thurstin, Calvin, Claude Chatman, Ronnie Poole, Loretta and Connie Riley.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sue Riley; his children, Daryl Riley (Melissa) of East Prairie, MO, Ronald Whiting (Linda) of Arnold, MO, Vivian Huston (Stan) of Troy, IL, Ray Cashel (Sherry) of Ward, AR and Joe MacLeod (Donna) of Cedar Hill, TN; his grandchildren, Elisa Bauer (Matt), James George III, Christina Canini (Drew), Andrew Echeverria, Heather Whiting, Zakary Riley, Gunnar Riley, Daryl Jr. Riley (Ashli), Chelsea Wicker, Nathan Wicker, Jessica Cashel, Danny Cashel (Reagan), Nicholas Cashel, Nickie MacLeod, Taylor MacLeod and Peyton MacLeod; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Jolanta, Aiden, Eli B., David, Kayleigh, Layla, Liam, Waylon, Pierson, McKinly, Rhyan, Olivia, Eli W., Kenna, Zakary II, Kylee, Kaylee, Daryl III, Jerzie, Kylan, Hailey, Katy, Ma'lyiah, Trisdon and Amara; and his siblings, Alice Thurstin, Doris Smith, Faye Gosche (Harry), Sue Chatman, Jeanette Adkisson, Joyce Poole, Sally Baron (Steve), Dennis Riley (Mary Lee), Alvin Riley (Pauline) and Ronnie Riley (LaRue). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at or mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville IL 62062.
