It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Vande Velde of Troy, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Vande Velde; his daughter Stacey Jarrell; and his parents, Albert C. Velde and Mary Elizabeth Vande Velde. He is survived by: his children, Annette Dixon (Robert) of O'Fallon, IL, Michael Vande Velde of Wildwood, MO, David Vande Velde of Belleville, IL, Julia LaRue (Reggie) of O'Fallon, IL and Melissa Barnett (Tom) of Troy, IL; his grandchildren, Liam, Eamonn, Aine, Cullan, Aileen Dixon, Aric, Rachel LaRue, Kaitlyn and Violet Barnett; and his siblings, John Vande Velde (Diane Forbus) of New Lenox, IL and Janet Gillespie (Jim) of Millersville, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
