She was predeceased by: her husband James S. Byrd Sr.; her son James S. Byrd Jr.; and her parents, Edward Johnson and Effie Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Mary Herschbacher (Earl) of Waterloo, IL, Douglas Byrd (Rhea) of East Carondolet, IL and Mike Byrd (Debbie) of Collinsville, IL; her grandchildren, Mike P., Lara, Michael B, Ethan, Shelby, Billy, Anna, Aubry, Eric and Lucy; and her close friend Robert "Benny" Wigginton. She is also survived by many friends and family.
