She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Helfer and Ann Helfer; and her siblings, Joyce Willmont and Leon Helfer. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Beard, Jr.; her children, Matt Shellenberg (Marie), Mike Shellenberg (Michelle), Tony Shellenberg, John Shellenberg and Lisa Mesaros (Jamey); her grandchildren, Kate Haring (Zach), Abigail, Kate Mesaros, Michael and Nathan Shellenberg; her great grandchild Kyle Haring; and her siblings, Wilson Helfer (Cathy), Jim Helfer, Judy Lee, Teresa Beard and Steve Beard (Lisa). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
