He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Nelson; his son Mark Nelson; his parents, Ronald Nelson and Mary Nelson; and his parents-in-law, Victor and Lois Earnest.
He is survived by: his son Craig Nelson (Judith) of O'Fallon, IL; his grandsons, Ryan and Ethan Nelson; his brother Lloyd Nelson (Sharon) of St. Louis, MO; his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Guilander (Bob) of Troy, IL and Larry Earnest (Patty) of Newton, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Pam Ramsey (Merik) of Edwardsville, IL, Deborah Riddle (James), Diane Howard (Craig), David Nelson (Maureen) of New Haven, MO and Brad Nelson (Joanne) of Maryville, IL. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
