Loretta K. Raymond Obituary

Beloved wife and mother, Loretta "Lori" K. Raymond, age 77, of Troy, IL, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. Lori was a native Missourian, born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on October 23, 1944.

Lori was a barrier breaker in the 80's by leading and managing a male-dominated field of information technology. She had a rewarding career as an Information Technology Manager from which she retired. Lori not only loved her work, but she also loved music, movies, and a good laugh! Lori's laughter was infectious, a full-body laugh that would light a room. Lori's other passions included her fur babies, baking, cooking (famous fried green tomatoes), gardening, music, dancing, and most of all being with her family.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Juanita Patterson, and her brother, James Patterson of Chicago, IL. Lori is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Raymond, whom she married June 2, 1976; daughter, Sandy Rathod of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and her children, Braxton and Maneka; daughter, Sherri (husband Randy) Rachal of St. Louis, MO; her brother, Wayne (wife Florence) Patterson of St. Louis, MO; and Lori and Glen's two canine companions, Joey "JoJo" and Claire.

Lori's wishes were to be cremated. The immediate family gathered for a small private service. The family will hold a celebration of Lori's life at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Lori's honor to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home. Please drop off or mail your donation to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
