It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Rickert of Troy, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on September 5, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David F. Rickert; her parents, Herman Bugger and Dorothy Bugger; and her siblings, Pete, Chuck, Butch Bugger, Nancy Schiefer and Diana Messina.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Koonce (Jan) of London, KY, Dot Washburn (Mike) of Greenville, IL and Nancy Koonce (Bryce Cooley) of Sandoval, IL; her stepchildren, David Rickert Jr. of San Francisco, CA, Candi Rickert of Maryville, IL and Wendi Rickert of Collinsville, IL; her grandchildren, Zachary Heilig (Lauren), Charles Fiscus, Tabatha DeBlois, Brandon Washburn (Taiylor), Gauge Garmon (Josie) and Kaitlyn Washburn; and her great grandchildren, Rylin, Kimber DeBlois, Wyatt, Eli, Corbin, Cash Garmon, Rhett, Leighton Washburn and Annabelle Heilig. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
