She was predeceased by: her husband Jefferson Cartwright Lype Jr.; her parents, Bob Hollis and Myrtis Benton; and her sister-in-law Wanda Benton. She is survived by: her sons, Bob H. Lype (Cathleen) of Farmington, MO and Jefferson Cartwright "Jeff" Lype III (Mary Kay) of Shiloh, IL; her grandchildren, Corinne Beckett (Michael), Chrissy Broeckling (Dan), Dan Lype (Melissa) and Thomas Lype (Kate); her great grandchildren, Reese Beckett, Sam, Zoey Broeckling and Lucy Lype; and her siblings, Bill Benton (Pat), George Benton, Bob Benton (Betty) and Melba Douglass (James). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
