He was predeceased by: his wife Laura Ann Walsh; his daughter Grace M. Young; his grandson Steven Bailey; his parents, John Walsh and Esther Walsh; and his siblings, Thomas, John Walsh, Bernadine Higgins, Catherine Clark, Evelyn Meehan and Mildred Pensoneau.
He is survived by: his children, James L. Walsh (Karan) of St. Louis, MO, Debra E. Walsh of Troy, IL and Ellen R. Bailey (Walsh) of Troy, IL; his grandchildren, Derek J. Walsh (Melissa), Matrix Bailey (Kali), Melissa Moore, Shannon Walsh, Holly Taylor, Robert Simmons, Christopher Weiss, Stacey Smith and Michael Smith; his great grandchildren, Megan, Amelia, Tyleigh, Ryan, Nissa, Timothy, Alli, Chase, Adie and Jayce; his great great grandchildren, Lilly, Myla and Vincent; and his close friend Clara Segura. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Memorials may be made to James family for a bench to be placed at Tri-township Park or Vitas Hospice.
