It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James E. Lanahan of Troy, Illinois, born in Highland, Illinois, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Theresa K. Lanahan. He is survived by: his children, Jesse Thomas Lanahan of Pontoon Beach, IL and Nicole Ann Lanahan of Troy, IL; his grandson Jayden S. Silsbee; his father Gerald "Jerry" Lanahan Sr. of Troy, IL; and his siblings, Gerald "Joe" Lanahan Jr. (Susan) of Osage Beach, MO, Kenneth Lanahan (Debra) of Champion Gate, FL, Cynthia Marie Lanahan of Collinsville, IL and Nancy Douglas (Bobby) of Troy, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

COVID-19 restrictions will be followed, masks required, and social distancing.

Memorials may be made to Myotonic Dystrophy Research or The Autism Center, Fairview Heights, IL.
