She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry William and Betty Frances Sowards. She is survived by: her husband Lieutenant Colonel Abraham Frederick (Retired); her daughters, Christie Danielle Cyrus and Michelle Leah Cyrus; her grandchildren, Ian Abraham Kingan, Madelynn Frances Kingan and Mia Kathleen Rosenthal; her brother Donald Sowards (Linda); her nephew Jeff Sowards (Loree Beth); her nieces, Karen Lohr (Ron) and Susan Sowards; her great-nephews, Lincoln Sowards, Franklin Sowards, Jessie Tompkins, Ethan Sealock and Dylan Sealock; her great-niece Josie Tompkins; her close friends, Virginia Morgan, Ann Ecker, Courtney McIntyre, Tammy Perkins and Lindsey Sykes; and also Skylar Sealock.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd. (2800 N Center St, Maryville, IL 62062). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or St. John United Church of Christ, Collinsville, Illinois, and will be received at the funeral home.
