With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bettye Smith of Troy, Illinois, born in Calhoun City, Mississippi, who passed away on August 26, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Smith; and her parents, Jim Green and Grace D. Green. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Niebruegge (Harold) of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Jacob Niebruegge of Creve Coeur, MO and Sarah Niebruegge of Oklahoma City, OK; and her siblings, David B. Green (Rita) of Bruce, MS, Kay Hunzinger of Phoenix, AZ and Anita Thomas of Bruce, MS.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 112 N Border St, Troy, IL 62294.
