With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert J. Schmitz of Troy Grove, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmitz and Norine Schmitz (Elsesser). He is survived by: his former wife Mary Ellen Stremlau; his wife Kathryn E. Jauch McLaughlin; his children, Brian Schmitz of Yulee and JoAnn Schmitz of Alburquerque, NM.; his grandchildren, Missy Actis (Jeremy) of Magnolia, Matthew McLaughlin (Sarah Tucker) of Granville and Zavier Schmitz of Alburquerque, NM.; and his great grandchildren, Braiden, Karson, Madison and Rilyn Actis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
