It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Greuel of Trilla, Illinois, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Greuel and Philomena Greuel (Moran); and his former wife Betty Jean. He is survived by: his wife Donna Greuel of Hidalgo, IL.; his children, Dan (Amy), Jeanne Greuel, Roger Moody of Louisville, IL, Matt (Jennifer), Amy (George Nevills) of Norwalk, OH, Jennifer (John Myers) of Holiday, FL and Jill (Rodney Turner) of Owensville, MO.; his grandchildren, Morgan (Elliot Greuel), Nathan Greuel, Andrea, Heather (Autumn Moody), Katherine (Logan Greuel), William, Marissa, Evan (Evie Nevills), Dylan (Jarrett Myers), Gavin (Haven Sanders) and Trinity (Mason Turner); his great grandchild Lilianna Rose Nevills; and his stepdaughters, Kimberly Mattox Linder, Monya Maynard, Tonya Pittman and Joyce Flowers.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
