He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Spihlman and Helen Spihlman; his brother Gerald Spihlman; his parents-in-law, Gerald and Marie Zimmerman; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Werner and Lloyd Murphey.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann "Raz" Zimmerman; his children, Denise Spihlman of Trenton, Craig Spihlman (Angela) of St. Louis, MO, Tim Spihlman (Jenny) of O'Fallon and Jeni Wallenberg (Andrew) of Trenton; his grandchildren, Joshua Frerker, Hannah Kruse (Houston), Erica, Erin Spihlman, Dr. Allison Spihlman, Adam Spihlman, Nicholas Spihlman (Riley Maher), Natalie Spihlman, A. J., Quinton and Emma Wallenberg; his sister Virginia Werner of Pocahontas; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Spihlman of St. Rose, Mary Ellen Murphey of Foristell, MO, Judy Schachner (Jerry) of O'Fallon and Joan Stanfill (Mike) of Marble Hill, MO. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Mater Dei Catholic High School, St. Mary Parish, or Shriners Children's in St. Louis and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
