We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2024, at the age of 82, Shirley Ann Weist of Trenton, Illinois, born in Ely, Nevada passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Deuel and Gladys Deuel; her husband Billy Joe Weist; her son-in-law Tom Gerstenecker, Jr.; her parents-in-law, Elwood and Marjorie Weist; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene Weist, Noble "Pete" Weist (Lois), Donald "Butch" Weist, Dale Weist and Karen Weist.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Schaubert of Edwardsville, Robert Weist (Carol) of New Minden and Brenda Weist of Keizer, OR; her grandchildren, Danielle Strothmann (Tim) and Andrew Gerstenecker (Maria); her great grandchildren, Thomas Strothmann and Gavin Gerstenecker; and her siblings-in-law, Ted Weist of Knox, IN and Cindy Weist of Princeton, IN.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
