He was predeceased by: his sister Joyce Schmitt; his brother-in-law Robert Schmitt; and his nephew Larry Schmitt. He is survived by: his nephew Randy Schmitt (Mary) of Freeburg; his niece Sheri Schmitt of Aviston; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dylan, Brendan Schmitt, Nick and Ashley Schmitt.
