He was predeceased by: his father Joseph F.; his wife Maria; and his siblings, Johnny Westphal, Kathy Westphal and Raymond Westphal.

He is survived by: his children, Ray Westphal (Pat) of Trenton and Bernice Kaufman of Trenton; his grandchildren, Julie Koeller (Ed), Jennifer Gross (Tim) and Michael Kaufman; and his great grandchildren, Chase, Ben Koeller, Sam, Andy and Evan Gross.
