He was predeceased by: his father Benjamin; his wife Bernice; his daughter-in-law Joyce Gilomen; his siblings, Eileen Buske (Lester), Ray Gilomen (Clara), Glen Gilomen, Harold Gilomen (Sandy) and Carol Kreutzberg (Harry); his father-in-law Milton; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Gilomen, Jean Vosholler (Fred), Carol Ruehrup (Leroy), Rich Albrecht and Lois Dubach.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Ottensmeier (Bob) of Trenton and Carl Gilomen of Trenton; his granddaughters, Kristen Shubert (Jeremy), Amy Haar (Brian), Laura Hogg (Garrett) and Sara Dixon (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Mason, Mallory Shubert, Bryce, Adalyn Haar, Liam, Parker Hogg and David Dixon; his brothers, Earl Gilomen of Highland and Floyd Gilomen (Mary) of Highland; and his sisters-in-law, Ramona Gilomen of Highland and Mary Ann Albrecht of Staunton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home (105 S Main St, Trenton, IL 62293). A memorial service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight (1523 S. Willemore Ave. Springfield, IL 62704) and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
