She was predeceased by: her husband Don Valente; her children, Jodi Soini (Freddie) and Bob Hopkins, Jr.; and her siblings, JoAnne Schakel (Vernon), Mary Hayden (Lawrence), Bill Alfke and Hank Alfke.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Hopkins of Trenton, Lori Hopkins of Lompoc, CA and Vince Hopkins (Donna) of Appleton, WI; her daughter-in-law Donise Hopkins of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Heather Morgan (Andrew), Jeff Hopkins (Mandie), Kayla Soini, Amanda Spanheimer (John), Tim Hopkins (Ashley), Amy Konitzer (Shannon) and Amanda Casey (Kyle); and her sister-in-law Phoebe Alfke.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Westgate Baptist Church and will be received through Moss Funeral Home, who is serving the family (105 South Main St. Trenton, IL, 62293).
