He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Thorp and Beatrice Thorp Axline; his daughter Anne Marie Thorp; and his granddaughter Hannah Joy Thorp. He is survived by: his wife Regina "Jeannie" Kohlrus; and his children, Russell Poe (Susan), Michele Williams (Brian), Derek Thorp (Laura), Tamara Thorp (Tammy), Tom Thorp and Tim Thorp. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
