He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hardy and Wanda Hardy (Wilcoxon); his great grandchild Kate Hardy; his grandson Seth Hardy; his sisters, Barbara Hubner and Linda Pritts; and his niece Trudy Filchak.
He is survived by: his wife Carleen Foor of Tower Hill; his sons, Michael Clay Hardy (Joanna) of Tower Hill, Luke Eric Hardy of Tower Hill, Chad Lincoln Hardy (Carrie) of Moweaqua and Mathew Jay Hardy (Dawn) of Tower Hill; his grandchildren, Joshua Hardy (Kimberly), Nichole Hardy, Coulter Hardy, McQuade Hardy and Mackenzie Riley (Aaron); and his stepgrandchildren, Gwyn Gilkson, Alexandrea Jones and Katie Jones. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
