He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Walden and Betty Albertson Walden; his former wife Patricia Cremeens; his stepson Larry McBurney; his stepgranddaughter Morgan Mays; and his siblings, Barbara Terven, Mary Klink, Patty Loughary, Dorothy Walden, Katherine Walden, Wayne Walden, Billy Walden, Calvin Walden, Mike Walden Bob Walden and Jonathan Walden.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Jo" McBurney; his children, Richard Thomas Walden "Rick" Jr. of Mount Vernon, Lori Mills of Richardson, Chris Walden (Tami) of Towanda, Nancy McBurney Mays of Bloomington, Charles McBurney (Bev) of Phoenix and David McBurney (Jennifer) of St. Louis; his brothers, George Walden (Mary) of Normal, Jimmy Walden of Bloomington and Kenny Walden of Poplar Bluff; and his siblings-in-law, Vernon Kashner (Becky) of McLean and Michaeline Jurgelas (Victor) of Heyworth. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.
