He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald R. Leezer and Emma Jean Leezer (Anderson); his son Michael Leezer; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Robert "Bob" Gold and Ronald "Ronnie" Koch.

He is survived by: his son Josh Leezer (Mandy) of Kewanee; his grandchildren, Kaiden Leezer, Raylei Leezer, Ryker Jackson, Layla Anderson and Colton Anderson; his fiancée Joyce Anderson of Galva; his stepchildren, Jessica Anderson of East Peoria and Justin Anderson (Ashley) of Chicago; and his siblings, Janet Gold of Eureka, Patty Jo Koch of Mt. Sterling, David Leezer of Camp Point, John Leezer (Kim) of Toulon and Mike Leezer (Paula) of Toulon.
