He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Peterson and Mary Peterson (McMillen); his son Matthew James Peterson; his sister Connie Lynn; and his grandparents, Robert, Nola McMillen (Stephens), Roscoe and Lois Peterson (Taylor).
He is survived by: his wife Pam Jackson; and his siblings, Linda Poynter (Rex Turnbull) of Toulon, Terry Peterson (Crystal) of West Jersey, Sue Torbert (John) of Nekoma, Cathy Webster of Kewanee, Lisa Blankenship (Scott) of Milan, Bob Peterson (Linda Neirynck) of Toulon and Sally Jo Peterson of Galesburg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
Due to the unexpected death of Jim, the family will humbly accept donations. Memorial contributions may be made to an account established at the State Bank of Toulon in Jim's name.
