He was predeceased by: his parents, George Oscar and Rena Frances "Francie" Roark (Nicholson); his sister Evelyn Frances Roark; and his former wife Pauline Alice Morrell (Mallory). He is survived by: his wife Lynne Kaye Roark (Wagner); his son James David Roark (Angela Kristine) of Toulon; his grandsons, Matthew James and Christopher David; his daughter Megan Lynne Anderson (Zachary Hier) of Rantoul; his grandchildren, Cooper Roark and Chase Hier; his stepchildren, Christine Kay Anderson (Dean), Cynthia Sue Kamp (Kent), Victoria Ann Bates (Roger) and Michael Phillip Morrell (Rachel); and his cousins, John Roark, James M. Roark, Ruth Nicholson, Steve Church, Nancee Vespa and Patty Johansen.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Toulon, the Toulon United Methodist Church, Saint Malachy Catholic School in Rantoul, or Toulon Public Library.
