He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Henry and Alice Benjamin King; his spouse LaVerne Stovall Hightower; his stepchildren, Cindy Bozarth and Glen Steven Hayes; his sister Eleanore Parks; and his half-sisters, Vickie and Priscilla. He was also cherished by six step-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren.
