He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Eugene and Juanita Margaret Scheiner (Johann); his stepfather Thomas Shannon; his granddaughter Breann Scheiner; his great grandchild Oliver Scheiner; and his brother Leslie Eugene Scheiner.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Scheiner, Jr. (Tami) of Manito, Amy Vignassi (Benjamin) of Leesburg and David Brackney of South Pekin; his grandchildren, Andrew Carter (Alex) of Pekin, Marc Scheiner (Jennifer) of Pekin, Seth Scheiner of Pekin, Sara Juhl of Pekin and Charles Matthew (Skylar); and his siblings, Sam Shannon (Tammy) of Hannibal, Starla Dunn (Ceasar) of Hannibal and Johanna Schweiter (Rick) of Macon.
