He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Samolitis and Frances "Jeanie" Samolitis (Oszczepinski); his wife Martha; and his daughter Tami Puetz. He is survived by: his daughter Tricia Salata (Mark) of Streator; his son-in-law Dave Puetz of Tonica; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Megan and Lindsey. He is also survived by two brothers; and one sister.
