She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Schmitz and Edna Schmitz (Krantz); and her sister Gail Schmitz. She is survived by: her significant other Brian Robinson; her children, Amanda Gaydos LaSalle, Isaac Gaydos of Ottawa, Kory Robinson (Ashley) of Lee's Summit, MO, Shawn Robinson of Cedar Rapids, IA and Shane Pennington; her grandchildren, Alexis, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jasmine, Harper and Shane, Jr.; and her siblings, Bob Schmitz (Joyce) of Streator, Scott Schmitz of Springfield, John Schmitz of Chicago, Jim Schmitz of Streator, Maggie Schmitz of Colona, Rita Teff of Texas and Edna Schmitz of Streator.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
