He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Spitzley and Lucille Spitzley (Trierweiler); his brothers-in-law, Joe Huizenga and Mike Van Duyne; and his nephew Danny Huizenga.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacey Pieper (Zach) of Ft. Madison; his grandchildren, Gavin, Ethan and Callen Pieper; his sisters, Joanna Fenner of San Diego, CA and Lisa Bracey (Dennis) of Crystal, Michigan.; and his nephew Troy Chayer.
Memorials may be made to the Eastern Marshall County Ambulance Service or to the charity of the Donors' Choice.
