He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gladys Sipe and Francis. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Sandy Hattan (Guy) of Toluca and Gary Matern (Anna) of Fort Myers, FL; his granddaughters, Misty Vitale, Kelsey Matern and Kaycee Matern; and his sister Rosemary Matern.
