He is survived by: his former wife Janet Beecher (Prater); his wife Mary of Toluca; his children, Cheryl Stech (Barry) of Toluca, Keith Montgomery (Linda) of Minonk, Bruce Montgomery (Sheila) of Choctaw, OK, Mark Montgomery (Renee) of Rutland, Donna LaBarge (Dale) of St. Cloud, MN, Doug Peterson of St. Cloud, MN and DeAnn Lumley of St. Cloud, MN; and his brother Bill LaChance of Doniphan, MO.. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
