He is survived by: his parents, Charles Merdian of Magnolia and Patsy Merdian (Kuhl) of Toluca; his children, Jennifer Merdian of Bureau, Nicole Bramley (Talon) of Arizona and Jeremy Merdian (Gri) of Korea; and his siblings, Vincent Merdian (Cheryl) of Toluca, Janice Hageman of Lacon and Melanie Forrest (Robert) of Henry.
