He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Berenz of Toluca and Julie Berenz (late Henry) of Sycamore; his son Brycen Cusac; his grandmother Marge Cusac of Rutland; and his siblings, Matthew of Toluca, Brianna of Cornell, Austin of Rutland, Trevor of Toluca and Josh Potter of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brycen Cusac Educational Fund or the American Diabetes Association. .
