He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lane and Dora Lane (Matney). He is survived by: his children, Madonna Thompson of Champaign, Chris Harris (Kevin) of Tolono, Robert Lane Jr. (Sydnie) of Bethany and Bret Lane (Heather) of Lansing Michigan; his siblings, Richard Lane of Decatur, Wayne Lane of Maroa, David Lane of Maroa, James Lane of Oreana, Suella Wallace of Maroa, Marsha Wiekle of Maroa, Mary Berg of Maroa and Viola Richardson of Bloomington; and his half-sister Janeann Fessler of Alabama. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchild.
