He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Arlie and Edith Lawson (Cline); his wife Sylvia Keplar; his sons, Paul and Roy Dale Lawson; his brothers, Irvin and Merle Lawson; and his son-in-law David Wickiser.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Lawson (Barbara) of Kansas, David Lawson (Dana) of Mississippi, Dianna Wright (Marc) of Ohio and Malinda Wickiser of Casey; his sisters-in-law, Eleanor and Patti Lawson; and his aunt Delores Lucas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
