He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Monroe and Beulah Monroe (Hurt); and his stepson Brent Stout. He is survived by: his wife Olive Kay Gross; his stepdaughter Nickie Orr (Ron) of Indianapolis, IN; and his grandson Keith Orr of Indianapolis.

Memorial donation can be made to the CCVA (Cumberland County Veterans Assoc.) c/o VFW box 647 Greenup, IL 62428.
