He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Wendt and Mildred Wendt; and his siblings, Richard and Elly. He is survived by: his wife Mickey; his children, James Tammy (Sandy) and Natalie Engel (Russ); his grandson Mick Millaney; his niece Shelly Carlascio; his nephew Bobby Anderson; and his eight grand blessings, Russell, Michaelyn Engel, Mike Millany, Miriam, Gerda, James, Johan and Little Heidi Wendt.

Who died from COVID-19 on February 17, 2022 while surrounded by his wife Mickey of nearly 55 years, His three children James (Sandy) Tammy and Natalie (Russ) Engel, also with him was his grandson Mick Millaney, niece Shelly Carlascio & nephew Bobby Anderson.
