He was predeceased by: his siblings, Charles Hand (Dawn), James Robert Hand (late Rebecca), Barbara Pohl (late Mark) and Nancy Mayer; and his parents, Charles Earl and Florence Christina Hand.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hand; his children, Trisha Hand, Tina Mutscheller (Mike), Tammy Stepanovic (Pete) and William Arthur Hand, Jr. (Jill Hoffman); his grandchildren, Victoria Kitsmiller (Tanner), Annabella Stepanovic, Delila Stepanovic, Katarina Stepanovic, Riley Mutscheller, Meghan Mutscheller, Aiden Mutscheller, Callie Hand and William Arthur Hand, III; his great grandchildren, Theodore Kitsmiller and Thalia Kitsmiller; and his siblings, Richard Hand (Mary) and Fond. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
